TL;DR
Senior Audio Video (AV) Engineer: Designing and developing high-performance screen recording and streaming functionalities for Windows platforms with an accent on hardware-accelerated video/audio encoding and decoding pipelines. Focus on building real-time, low-latency media processing solutions using C/C++ and optimizing integration with modern hardware encoders like NVENC, AMD AMF, and Intel QuickSync.
Location: Chengdu (China) and Singapore. This is an onsite role.

What you will do
- Design and develop screen recording and streaming functionalities specifically for Windows applications.
- Implement and optimize high-performance video encoding/decoding pipelines using hardware accelerators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, real-time media processing.
- Work extensively with video codecs including H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues related to media streaming, latency, and encoding quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
- Deep expertise in video encoding/decoding and hardware acceleration.
- Proficiency in media libraries such as FFmpeg, OBS, Media Foundation, ZLMediaKit, or GStreamer.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ with experience in performance tuning.
- Knowledge of streaming protocols including RTSP, RTMP, WebRTC, and HLS.
- Familiarity with image processing technologies like OpenGL and Direct3D.
