Senior Fullstack Engineer (React/Node/Kubernetes)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Engineer (React/Node/Kubernetes): Migrating a legacy application backlog to a modern, cloud-native architecture with an accent on React/Next.js frontends, Redis-backed APIs, event-driven microservices, and Kubernetes-based deployments. Focus on faithfully re-implementing and improving business logic, optimizing application throughput, and ensuring full-stack observability.

Location: Remote — Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Chile. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to the analysis, planning, and execution of legacy-to-modern-stack migrations.
• Build performant, accessible frontends using React JS and Tailwind CSS, integrating with Strapi CMS.
• Develop and maintain server-side rendered applications with Next.js on Node.js following a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
• Design and integrate Kafka-based event streaming pipelines as part of an evolving microservices architecture.
• Containerize services and support Kubernetes deployments on-premises, with a clear migration path toward AWS EKS.
• Maintain high code quality through GitHub workflows, Snyk security gates, and thorough code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack or backend-heavy roles.
• Demonstrated history of working in English-speaking professional environments.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript across frontend and backend.
• Hands-on experience with React JS and Tailwind CSS.
• Production experience with Next.js and Node.js.
• Professional English proficiency is required (B2 or higher).

Nice to have

• Experience migrating from legacy server-side platforms (ColdFusion, Classic ASP, PHP 5.x, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Strapi CMS or other headless CMS platforms.
• AWS experience, particularly with EKS or managed container services.
