Embedded Software Senior Engineer

TL;DR

Embedded Software Senior Engineer (Embedded): Designing, developing, integrating, and testing software features on embedded electronic controls for hirify.global Medium Wheel Loader machine applications with an accent on software development using C/C++ on a Real-Time OS with AutoSAR framework. Focus on test plan development and software validation using Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) methods.

Location: Must work onsite five days a week in Mossville, IL

What you will do

• Develop software using C/C++ on a Real-Time OS with AutoSAR framework.
• Organize individual subsystem diagrams and software libraries for integration.
• Integrate software features from models and libraries to create software flash files.
• Integrate configuration and calibration data.
• Develop test plans and validate software using Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) methods.
• Identify software defects and manage issue list submissions.

Requirements

• Requires a 4-year degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Ability to approach complex problems and break them down into component parts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Teamwork and proactive sharing of information.
• Strive for excellence in performance and seek help when needed.
• Conduct walkthroughs and monitor the effectiveness and quality of development activities.

Nice to have

• Electrical components/systems experience, including reading schematics and troubleshooting basic machine wiring issues.
• Experience developing embedded real-time software/systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications.
• Experience with FMEA processes and basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes.
