Strategy & Business Development Manager, Secret Pool

An independent commodity trading firm headquartered in Singapore whose business presence spans across Asia and Africa, as a result of steady expansion of the business activity across core geographies decided to make a number of key hires. Strategy and Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth, expanding market reach, and fostering strategic partnerships within crude oil, petroleum products, LNG, and LPG, coal trading in Russia. This position requires a blend of business acumen, industry expertise, and client coverage skills to identify, negotiate, and execute profitable opportunities. You will be based in Moscow. New deals structuring.
Full cycle, from origination and execution incl. preliminarily transaction design until completion (legal, financial structuring, settlement, financial planning and modelling as well as coordination of reporting).
Types of deals include (1) strategic transactions i.e. JVs or other forms of long terms business cooperation, (2) flow business trading deals, (3) commodity backed prepayment solutions, (4) M&As. Financing.
Maintain existing and develop strategic relations with various types of funding providers (banks, private equity, family offices, leading O&G and commodities companies, etc.). Existing JVs.
Maintain and support for ongoing business ventures (financial planning and modelling, strategy design and support with its implementation).
Sourcing of trading volumes.
Support global Trading Team with development of a sourcing strategy mainly focused on the domestic markets in Russia to secure sustainable flow of key products for the Firm (crude oil, petroleum products, LNG, coal etc.). Contribution to implementation of the sourcing strategy on the ground.
Pipeline of investment projects / M&A opportunities.
Identify new business opportunities which support trading trading, build sales channels and set up presence along the commodity trading value chain to optimize links with core markets

Requirements

Unique opportunity for professionals able to demonstrate healthy combination of commodities expertise, business development and project management skills, M&A deals structuring experience and background in banking. Also, we are happy to consider candidates with experience in: financing, business development, cross-border settlements, commodity trading. RUCFA certification will be an advantage.
