What you will do

• Lead the design and development of high-performance distributed systems for global traffic.
• Drive the transition toward a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to enhance modularity.
• Enforce high standards for code quality, testing, and system design patterns.
• Implement advanced caching and database strategies to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Coach mid-level engineers through detailed code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure service reliability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience with deep PHP mastery.
• 4+ years of enterprise-grade application development using Laravel or Symfony.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL performance tuning, AWS, and Docker containerization.
• Must be a resident and hold valid work authorization in Romania, Spain, or the UK.
• Fluent English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS/PaaS, eSIM technologies, or GSMA standards.
• Experience in building or maintaining custom SDKs.
• Background in Traveltech solutions.
