Summer Trainee, Science - Research Operations

TL;DR

Summer Trainee, Science - Research Operations: Supporting ongoing internal human research studies to develop new features and enhance the accuracy of Oura's algorithms. Focus on managing timelines, documentation, and collaborating effectively in a cross-disciplinary team environment.

Location: Mostly onsite in Oulu, North Ostrobothnia, with commuting into the office multiple times per week.

What you will do

• Support ongoing internal human research studies.
• Assist in the development of new features.
• Enhance the accuracy of algorithms.
• Manage timelines and documentation.
• Work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team.

Requirements

• Studies from human research (e.g., biology, psychology, cognitive science, biomedical engineering) and in your mid or final stages (4th+ year / 250 ECTS).
• Familiarity with research ethics and good clinical practice.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence managing timelines and documentation.
• Good communication skills (in English).
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with biosignals (PPG, spectroscopy).
