Level Designer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Level Designer (Gamedev): Creating and polishing multiplayer PvP maps for a cross-platform arena shooter with an accent on game mechanics, balance, and spatial design. Focus on building and iterating levels within Unity, from initial prototyping and bot pathing to post-launch data-driven improvements.

Location: Remote or hybrid (offices in Yerevan, Armenia and Cyprus); Relocation package available for Armenia.

A leading game development studio within the GDEV holding, creators of the successful Pixel Gun 3D, currently developing a cross-platform PvP arena shooter.

What you will do

• Design and implement multiplayer PvP maps from prototyping to final polish using Unity.
• Manage the end-to-end level design pipeline, including concept, implementation, and evaluation.
• Configure scripts, bot behavior paths, and loadouts.
• Collaborate with Art and Development teams to ensure high-quality level assets.
• Conduct playtests and analyze player feedback to optimize gameplay balance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Level Designer, preferably in shooter titles.
• Russian language: B2 level or higher required.
• Strong proficiency in Unity and greyboxing tools (ProBuilder, Blender, 3ds Max).
• Solid understanding of PvP level design principles for mobile or PC platforms.
• Ability to analyze data and player feedback for design iterations.

Nice to have

• Experience working with shooter titles and PvE COOP modes.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and composition.
