Technical Writer

TL;DR

Technical Writer: Creating and maintaining high-quality articles, tutorial videos, and product UI text to support hirify.global’s products, features, and services with an accent on gathering information from subject-matter experts and working with Product Managers. Focus on ensuring quality, accuracy, consistency, and clarity in documentation and tutorial videos.

Location: Remote in South Africa

What you will do

• Interview subject-matter experts (SMEs) to gather information for technical documentation.
• Work with Product Managers to develop or review text for product UI.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and tutorial video scripts for customers.
• Act as an SME and/or peer reviewer for projects.
• Track updates/changes to hirify.global’s products and services in our change log and release notes.
• Partner with AI tools to improve efficiency and speed in day-to-day tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Technical Communication, English, or related field preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience in technical writing or process creation.
• Minimum 1 year experience in UX writing (preferred but not required).
• Experience using AI technology to improve efficiency with day-to-day tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with writing English for a global audience.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of HTML.
• Knowledge of Zendesk, Google Docs, and Jira.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology.
