What you will do

• Own the full life cycle of products, from business requirements to CI/CD and monitoring.
• Design, develop, and maintain platforms and data pipelines.
• Build stable, scalable, and high-performance systems to meet the dynamic demands of the data platform landscape.
• Write high-quality code and mentor others in doing so.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments.
• Play a pivotal role in recruiting and onboarding exceptional talent.

Requirements

• Experience in Java, Scala, and Python, with big data technologies like Hadoop and Apache Spark, and advanced knowledge of SQL and data architecture.
• Ability to think in systems, including edge cases, failure modes, and life cycles.
• Ability to use a metrics-driven approach to make informed decisions using data.
• Passion for software development and continuous improvement of knowledge and skills.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with operational excellence and a deep understanding of metrics, alarms, and dashboards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge about database high availability or query performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem.
