What you will do

• Architect, design, and build highly available, zero-downtime API products.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to deliver high-quality, results-oriented technical solutions.
• Write clear, maintainable, and scalable C# code.
• Contribute to production operations, system monitoring, and SLA adherence.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming to foster technical growth.
• Drive best practices and process improvements across the engineering department.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to live and work in Portugal.
• Strong hands-on experience in architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems using C#.
• Proficiency in cloud software solutions (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including both IaaS and PaaS.
• Deep understanding of design patterns, API design, and system reliability patterns.
• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working within an agile development methodology.

Nice to have

• Proven track record building high-performance API products.
• Experience in the Fintech industry.
• Direct experience launching APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Specialized experience with cloud systems, particularly Azure.
