TL;DR

Finance & Strategy Deal Operations Manager (AI): Managing complex commercial deals and standardizing sales processes to support rapid global expansion with an accent on deal desk operations and system optimization. Focus on building AI-native workflows, improving CPQ and Salesforce infrastructure, and ensuring seamless collaboration across sales, legal, and compliance teams.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid policy: at least 25% in-office)

What you will do

  • Quarterback the full lifecycle of enterprise deals including quote-building in CPQ, approval routing, and contract execution.
  • Act as the primary bridge between Sales, Legal, and Finance to ensure commercial terms align with internal standards.
  • Develop and implement AI-native tooling to scale commercial processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Optimize sales workflows to reduce friction and accelerate the time-to-close for high-priority agreements.
  • Maintain and improve core sales documentation including pricing guidelines, SKU configurations, and process playbooks.
  • Analyze deal patterns and metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive data-driven improvements in sales operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in deal desk, sales strategy, or commercial operations in a high-growth technology environment.
  • Proficiency in executing and improving systems like Salesforce, CPQ tools, and contract management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across multiple departments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of operational workflows and a bias toward process improvement and fixing manual bottlenecks.
  • English language proficiency is required for cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with subscription or consumption-based business models.
  • Expertise with tools like Nue, Apttus, Steelbrick, Ironclad, or Docusign CLM.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software contract terms and commercial industry standards.
  • Background in managing deal operations within the AI sector.
