What you will do
- Build and maintain interactive in-product learning experiences to improve user onboarding.
- Create workflows that enable non-engineers to contribute to and iterate on learning content.
- Instrument learning flows to track progress and identify points of friction for users.
- Implement observability principles to ensure production stability and fast feedback loops.
- Utilize agentic AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate prototyping and feature delivery.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain and support features in production.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada
- Deep experience with serious software engineering fundamentals, architecture, and maintainability.
- Proven ability to work with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and manage related risks.
- Solid experience with observability practices or real-world use of Grafana.
- Experience shipping production-grade code and explaining technical tradeoffs.
- Strong communication skills for writing documentation, design notes, and PR descriptions.
Nice to have
- Meaningful open source contribution or maintainer experience.
- Full-stack development experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Go.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and the broader observability ecosystem (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, OpenTelemetry).
