Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year

What you will do

• Upgrade existing distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant across multiple data centers.
• Advance deployment, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure for multi-region environments.
• Manage petabyte-scale bare metal compute clusters.
• Engage throughout the full software development lifecycle from inception to operation.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in high-scale satellite internet services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system maintainability and scalability.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee to comply with ITAR regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 7+ years without).
• Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems.
• Experience in site reliability or DevOps engineering.
• Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Istio for on-premise deployments.
• Proficiency in data processing platforms such as Kafka, Spark, HBase, or Flink.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, Java, Scala, or Go.
• Background in troubleshooting hardware and network-layer issues.
