What you will do

• Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to define and implement the vision for a scalable system architecture for the insurance platform.
• Contribute to evolving internal tools, including Ruby libraries and agentic tools.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Explore and propose new technologies to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
• Champion engineering best practices and help elevate the tech stack.
• Create reusable solutions that help teams scale faster.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience working on complex systems and platform solutions.
• Strong passion for building, maintaining, and improving platform tooling and processes.
• Solid experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Good understanding of working with coding agents from planning to delivery.
• Strong communicator, able to work across teams and translate technical vision into actionable plans.
• Commitment to delivering solutions that are well-tested, reliable, and maintainable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Proven experience in fintech environments or startups.
