Location: Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve the existing data platform architecture.
• Design new data pipelines for batch-loading and real-time visualizations.
• Apply and mentor team members on data modeling standards like Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to data systems and platform performance.
• Ensure high data quality through consistent verification and accuracy checks.
• Document processes and lead knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, and RDS.
• Expertise in cloud database technologies such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Strong SQL skills with a focus on cost-efficient design and query optimization.
• Experience orchestrating complex data pipelines using Airflow.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing and modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and software abstraction principles.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Skilled in scripting with PowerShell and Unix.
• Hands-on experience with version control (GIT) and data monitoring tools.
