2D Animator

TL;DR

2D Animator: Translating scenes from animatic to final animation by roughing, keying, and animating each shot with an accent on maintaining model and executing feeling and emotion. Focus on working within the quality style of the show and collaborating within a close-knit team of artists.

Location: Must be based in Ireland only, with hybrid working arrangements (i.e., a combination of both remote and in-studio working) in Dublin.

What you will do

• Translate each scene from animatic to final animation by roughing, keying, and animating each shot.
• Maintain model, executing feeling and emotion, while staying within the quality style of the show.
• Attend creative, production, and management meetings as required.
• Submit animation to the standard required by the show and meet production schedules.
• Develop drawing skills through tutorials, life drawing, sketching, and general animation research.
• Ensure technical and creative retakes are accurately addressed as per written notes and visual reference materials.

Requirements

• Your showreel and portfolio should demonstrate your skills in animation.
• Basic knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony is preferable.
• A good understanding of animation principles.
• Great aptitude for drawing, animation, and observation.
• Ability to work in a team, with good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
