What you will do

• Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems aligned with industry standards.
• Perform risk assessments and collaborate with department heads to mitigate operational, financial, and IT risks.
• Coordinate and execute internal audits, prepare reports, and support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining communication with relevant teams.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in financial reporting and operations.
• Provide training and support on internal control procedures and regulatory compliance across departments.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Portugal with hybrid work arrangement in Lisboa
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; professional certifications preferred.
• 5+ years experience in internal controls, auditing, risk management, or compliance, preferably in software/technology.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with IT and financial systems common in software environments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration ability.
