What you will do

• Develop and maintain in-sprint test automation aligned with Agile cycles.
• Design and enhance automated test scripts and reusable frameworks for functional, integration, regression, API, smoke, and end-to-end testing including mainframe COBOL applications.
• Execute automated and manual tests, perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Drive continuous improvement of automation frameworks, tools, and processes.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid from Edgewood, NY or Newark, NJ offices
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in software development, QA, or SDET roles.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# and experience with automated testing for mainframe systems.
• Experience with API testing tools and CI/CD integration.
• Strong understanding of Agile, QA concepts, and shift-left testing practices.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• Experience with mainframe modernization initiatives.
• ISTQB certification.
