Senior Fullstack Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands with office presence 2 days per week

What you will do

• Own discovery features end-to-end across backend and frontend, from design to deployment
• Build scalable systems for search and recommendations across 100M+ documents
• Collaborate with product, design, data, SEO, and infrastructure teams to shape solutions and technical decisions
• Run experiments and prototypes exploring AI-driven discovery, vector search, and recommendation strategies
• Support the team through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing
• Improve core discovery pages and recommendation engines to increase engagement

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Amsterdam with office presence 2 days per week
• 6+ years experience in backend engineering with Node.js, TypeScript, PHP, or Laravel
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks React or Next.js
• Experience building scalable distributed and event-driven systems
• Strong understanding of databases such as MySQL and Postgres
• AI-native development mindset and experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and Kubernetes

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG architectures
• Experience with vector databases like Milvus or Qdrant
• Knowledge of logging systems such as Sentry, Grafana, OpenSearch
