What you will do

• Own and evolve the technical direction of the team, including architecture decisions and system design trade-offs.
• Contribute to complex features, lead critical design reviews, and unblock engineers on technical problems.
• Coach engineers in day-to-day technical work, reviewing code and helping them think through design decisions.
• Drive engineering quality and best practices, from testing and observability to code structure and scalable patterns.
• Partner with Product Managers and designers to shape scope and translate ambiguous problems into clear solutions.
• Nurture an inclusive, high-trust team culture where engineers feel safe to take risks and grow.

Requirements

• Strong engineer with a track record of delivering complex technical work and making sound architectural decisions.
• Experience leading or informally mentoring engineers, with genuine energy in helping others level up technically.
• High standards for engineering craft - code quality, system design, testing, and performance.
• Comfortable being hands-on in the codebase while also thinking about team direction and technical strategy.
• Clear communicator who can translate technical complexity for non-technical partners.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and balance delivery rigor with pragmatic decision-making.
