TL;DR
BI Engineer (Gamedev): Developing and maintaining Looker dashboards and reports, along with data modeling, to surface major in-app metrics for PuzzlePlay and its game clients with an accent on fraud detection and user behavior analysis. Focus on identifying suspicious user flows, login patterns, and redemption behavior using custom SQL rules.
Location: Hybrid in Minsk, BY. Work in the office 3 days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and a third day of your choice.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports for in-app metrics, user acquisition, and company-wide performance.
- Design metric logic and data modeling for high-scale reporting.
- Create business-facing documentation, including metric definitions and dashboard guides.
- Identify, evaluate, and incorporate new data sources into production tables, working with Data Engineering and Product teams.
- Write custom SQL rules to detect suspicious user flows and login patterns.
- Lead investigations into irregularities in metrics, using data from multiple sources.
Requirements
- Experience building reports in Looker or a similar BI tool.
- Extensive experience in SQL (Snowflake, Bigquery) with complex joins and pattern-recognition queries.
- Experience in a Data Analytics & BI role, delivering and maintaining metrics and dashboards.
- Excellent attention to detail in organizing code, data, dashboards, and documentation.
- Comfort manipulating large datasets for exploratory analysis.
- Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience developing behavior-based heuristics or detection systems.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Proficiency in Looker APIs.
- Experience in a mobile app, ad tech, or gaming company.
- Experience with product and user acquisition teams.
