What you will do

• Design and architect foundational patterns for booking flows, checkout journeys, and multi-tenant configurations.
• Lead technical stewardship of Scala-based distributed systems ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Drive platform evolution towards configuration over customization enabling zero-touch partner experiences.
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct deep-dive design reviews to raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and partner teams to ensure robust and extensible solutions.
• Operate autonomously with high alignment through asynchronous communication and documentation.

Requirements

• Must be located in Spain or able to work remotely from Spain.
• Deep experience or ability to rapidly master distributed system development in Scala.
• Strong product thinking anchored in delivering stable, predictable commerce engine experiences.
• Experience with multi-tenant system design prioritizing configuration over customization.
• Technical leadership skills including mentorship and architectural strategy.
