What you will do

• Architect and design scalable API and full-stack solutions for travel booking flows and checkout journeys.
• Lead technical strategy and define robust patterns for Scala-based distributed systems.
• Drive platform evolution towards multi-tenant, configuration-over-customization architecture.
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct deep-dive design reviews to raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and partner teams to ensure extensibility and alignment.
• Promote asynchronous communication and documentation to support a low-meeting culture.

Requirements

• Must be located in Bulgaria or able to work remotely from Bulgaria.
• Deep experience or ability to rapidly master distributed system development in Scala.
• Strong product thinking with focus on stable, predictable commerce engines.
• Experience with multi-tenant system design prioritizing configuration over customization.
• Ability to balance long-term architectural health with rapid delivery.
