Location: Hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in the Edinburgh office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Plan, develop and implement research processes and strategies within an agile development cycle, including annual research planning for your product area(s).
• Conduct a variety of research projects including online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and concept and navigation testing.
• Document and communicate findings to product team members, evolving your research into actionable insights, concepts, and solutions.
• Help prioritize and recommend UX improvements to product teams in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Work with other UX researchers in developing & maintaining customer relationships, and helping to raise the profile of UX across the wider business.

Requirements

• Strong background in product or applied research, ideally with experience in software or SaaS research and complex B2B environments.
• Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods and the ability to communicate this confidently across stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods (e.g., A/B testing, large-scale surveys), and product analytics tools such as Pendo and/or Qualtrics.
• Proven project leadership with the ability to lead and mentor associates and UX designers/researchers, while owning and driving UX improvement initiatives.
• Strong UX expertise across relevant methods, tools, and product development approaches, with working knowledge of Lean, Agile, and Scrum environments.
• Enterprise‑focused mindset, with experience in IT management software, senior network environments, and identifying opportunities to improve operations and support business growth.

Nice to have

• Use of AI tools to tell a story and semantic analysis would be a bonus.
