Business Development Representative (Database): Engaging with Database Administrators (DBAs) and IT leaders to solve critical data challenges, sparking interest in hirify.global' Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) and SQL Sentry solutions with an accent on database performance and cloud migrations. Focus on proactively identifying and engaging potential customers, providing technical demos, and qualifying leads for the specialized Database sales team.

What you will do

  • Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns targeting DBAs, Data Engineers, and VPs of Infrastructure.
  • Use AI and prospecting tools to identify companies running complex SQL Server, Oracle, or Open Source database environments.
  • Conduct impactful 5-minute demonstrations of database tools, showcasing hirify.global' visibility into query performance and root-cause analysis.
  • Research and qualify prospects to ensure they have the environment scale and business need before handing them over to Enterprise Account Managers.
  • Communicate how hirify.global reduces MTTR and eliminates “finger-pointing” between database and application teams.
  • Maintain records in Salesforce and Outreach, ensuring a seamless handover to the specialized Database sales team.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in lead qualification or sales, ideally within the IT infrastructure, DevOps, or Data management space.
  • An enthusiastic approach to learning about database ecosystems (SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and the people who manage them.
  • A passion for “the hunt” and the resilience required to break into large enterprise accounts.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, and AI-assisted prospecting tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak the “language of the DBA.”

Nice to have

  • Ability to understand technical concepts like “latency,” “query tuning,” and “resource contention.”
  • Ability to listen to a customer’s performance headache and position the right database solution to fix it.
  • Ability to prioritize accounts based on their “data footprint” and potential for high-value expansion.
