TL;DR
Verification Engineer (Junior) (Embedded_IoT_Dev): Develop and optimize verification environments, create and enhance verification plans and test benches for SoC designs with an accent on SystemVerilog UVM methodologies and ASIC/FPGA design verification. Focus on designing and debugging simulations, executing constrained random testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve verification processes.
Location: Must live and work in Canada with occasional hirify.global site visits; remote work from other countries is not permitted due to legal regulations.
Salary: CAD 92,210–130,180 annually

What you will do
- Develop and optimize verification environments and test benches for SoC designs.
- Execute simulations, debug issues, and analyze performance and power usage.
- Investigate and resolve bugs in the pre-silicon phase with corrective actions.
- Write and maintain high-quality verification code following best practices.
- Collaborate with SoC architects, RTL developers, and validation teams to improve verification processes.
- Enhance future verification strategies based on post-silicon testing learnings.
Requirements
- Must live and work in Canada with legal presence for employment; remote work from other countries is not allowed.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related STEM field with 1+ year relevant experience.
- Experience in ASIC/FPGA design verification, SystemVerilog, VHDL, and UVM methodologies.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong digital design fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD degree in relevant STEM field.
- Experience with digital/analog design concepts, C/C++ programming, scripting languages (Python, Perl).
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques, dynamic and formal verification, and industry standard protocols (AMBA AXI/AHB, APB, UART, SPI, I2C/I3C).
- Co-Op experience in ASIC design implementation, verification, or emulation.
