TL;DR

Location: Hybrid role with onsite expectations 3x/week in San Mateo, CA, United States

Salary: $161,000 - $200,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of diverse commercial agreements including SaaS, channel, reseller, marketplace, and vendor contracts.
  • Serve as a strategic legal partner advising on deal structure, risk trade-offs, and contracting strategy.
  • Build and maintain commercial templates, playbooks, and workflows to improve contracting efficiency.
  • Collaborate globally with legal teams to align commercial standards and policies.
  • Advise on compliance and risk related to IP, data privacy, security, and commercial contracting across jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, United States
  • 8+ years transactional attorney experience, preferably in SaaS or technology companies or law firms.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS agreements, partner/channel contracts, vendor agreements, DPAs, and professional services agreements.
  • JD from accredited U.S. law school and active license or eligibility to practice law in California.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders across time zones.
