What you will do

• Own and innovate voice-first (VUI) and cross-surface (GUI/native/web) experiences like Stories with Alexa and Create Your Own Adventure.
• Lead cross-stack delivery across device, app, and server-driven customer experience implementations balancing child experience, legal constraints, and platform capabilities.
• Partner with hirify.global Kids and Alexa Kids teams to build flagship integrations and conversational content discovery mechanisms.
• Drive architecture and delivery of child-adapted UIs and voice interactions ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Mentor engineering teams on child-adaptation best practices and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of professional software development experience and leadership in design or architecture.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
• Proven ability to build scalable, distributed front-end and voice interface experiences.
• Knowledge of child-directed design, legal compliance (e.g., COPPA), and safety requirements.
• Location requirement: must be onsite in Seattle, WA, USA.
• English proficiency: at least B2 level.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development and voice-first content platforms.
• Background in mobile web or on-device mobile applications.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions and cross-team technical collaboration.
