What you will do
- Own and innovate voice-first (VUI) and cross-surface (GUI/native/web) experiences like Stories with Alexa and Create Your Own Adventure.
- Lead cross-stack delivery across device, app, and server-driven customer experience implementations balancing child experience, legal constraints, and platform capabilities.
- Partner with hirify.global Kids and Alexa Kids teams to build flagship integrations and conversational content discovery mechanisms.
- Drive architecture and delivery of child-adapted UIs and voice interactions ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Mentor engineering teams on child-adaptation best practices and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of professional software development experience and leadership in design or architecture.
- Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
- Proven ability to build scalable, distributed front-end and voice interface experiences.
- Knowledge of child-directed design, legal compliance (e.g., COPPA), and safety requirements.
- Location requirement: must be onsite in Seattle, WA, USA.
- English proficiency: at least B2 level.

- Experience with AI-assisted development and voice-first content platforms.
- Background in mobile web or on-device mobile applications.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions and cross-team technical collaboration.
