Salary: $214,500 - $398,300 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute the roadmap for generative AI backend infrastructure to support a fast-moving experimental team.
• Lead design and development of extensible multi-agent frameworks and infrastructure.
• Own governance of agents and data sources ensuring compliance and reliability.
• Influence technical priorities and decisions within a complex enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners across hirify.global and Roche globally.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on generative AI excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience in Data Science, AI, or related technical fields.
• Proven leadership in B2B generative AI infrastructure and multi-agent architectures.
• Expertise with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Agentcore) and protocols (MCP, A2A).
• Deep knowledge of RAG architecture, document optimization, and advanced AI-generated SQL techniques.
• Strong understanding of performance factors including cost, reliability, latency, and observability tools.
• Must be located in or near South San Francisco, CA with hybrid onsite work 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal generative AI tools, especially voice interfaces.
• Knowledge of security protocols in enterprise AI contexts.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries.
• Certifications in cloud architecture or AI technologies.
