TL;DR

Intern Data Science: Supporting development of machine learning models and data analysis projects with an accent on forecasting, recommendations, and user segmentation. Focus on exploring large datasets, evaluating model performance, and collaborating cross-functionally in a hybrid work environment based in Munich.

Location: Munich, Germany with 2-3 days office presence per week

What you will do

• Support development of machine learning models such as forecasting, churn prediction, and recommendation systems using Python and SQL.
• Explore, clean, and transform large datasets within AWS environment (Redshift, Athena, S3).
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and generate hypotheses.
• Evaluate model performance and interpret results in business context.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams to translate challenges into data science use cases.
• Participate in team rituals and contribute ideas to improve workflows, including use of AI tools for automation.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Munich, Germany with hybrid work attendance.
• Currently enrolled or recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics).
• Solid understanding of Python and SQL.
• Foundational knowledge of statistics and machine learning concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
