What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs for invoice processing and document exchange.
• Develop asynchronous processing pipelines using background jobs and queue systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with government tax authorities and external platforms.
• Optimize database queries and manage concurrency in high-throughput environments.
• Participate in code reviews and backend architecture decisions.
• Support production operations including incident response and monitoring.

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience in production environments.
• English proficiency required for technical documentation and standards.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, background jobs, SQL, XML/XSLT, JSON, and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Location requirement: must work onsite in Sabadell, Spain.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Redis and caching strategies.
• Experience with observability tools and API security best practices.
