What you will do

• Develop and maintain large-scale Java applications and microservices using Spring, Kafka, Postgres, and REST APIs
• Implement cloud-native solutions and work with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm (GKE preferred)
• Automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Apply test-driven development and agile practices in iterative development cycles
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor team members to foster a modern and inclusive engineering culture
• Support operational excellence with SRE principles for 24/7 system reliability

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom with hybrid work in London and travel to Bristol
• Strong experience in Java and building large-scale microservices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially GCP, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch is a plus
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and CI/CD automation
• Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software architecture
• English proficiency at least B2 level
