TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer: Leading the development and delivery of infrastructure automation and analytics solutions for platforms with an accent on building resilient and scalable systems using modern DevOps practices. Focus on enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement through automation and analytics pipelines.
Location: Office Base is London Light House. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.
Salary: Β£55,000 - Β£65,000

What you will do
- Design and implement infrastructure automation workflows using tools like Rundeck, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Build and maintain containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
- Develop analytics pipelines and reporting dashboards using Python, SQL, and cloud-native services.
- Automate patching, compliance checks, and system health monitoring across hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to Agile delivery, code reviews, and continuous integration practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in infrastructure automation using tools like Rundeck, Ansible, or PowerShell.
- Strong hands-on skills in containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Prometheus ).
- Experience with patching workflows, system compliance, and operational monitoring.
- Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging tools to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with tooling such as Splunk, SentinelOne, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and serverless architecture.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills for building analytics pipelines and automated reporting.
