Data Management Engineer (SaaS)

Data Management Engineer (SaaS): Managing and enriching client's procurement data to enable them achieve various business goals through data utilization with an accent on supplier relationship management, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing. Focus on translating customer's needs into technical solutions, driving internal development, and acting as a subject matter expert in client consultations.

Location: Helsinki, Finland or flexible hybrid working mode.

Salary: 3600 €/month depending on previous experience.

What you will do

• Translate hirify.global customers’ procurement analytics needs into sustainable technical solutions.
• Drive internal and customer development projects to improve efficiency within the data management function.
• Drive issues from investigation to decision and execution by turning insights into clear, actionable plans.
• Act as a subject matter expert in client consultations, providing valuable insights and guidance.
• Work closely with the product and modernization teams to develop and implement effective solutions company-wide.
• Develop and maintain data management documentation and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong technical acumen and proven problem-solving skills.
• Experience in B2B customer-facing work (e.g., IT customer support, consulting, etc.).
• Understanding of data modeling and querying principles (SQL).
• Ability to recognize and drive internal development.
• Cross-functional and cultural collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization and analytics, e.g., QlikSense.
• Project management experience.
• Understanding of procurement concepts, such as category management.
• Language skills such as French or German.
