What you will do

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to your software engineering team.
• Own and track technical metrics and KPIs for your team.
• Support incident resolution processes and on-call practices.
• Collaborate with product counterparts and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Manage dependencies across cross-functional teams including Backend, Frontend, Data Science, and Operations.

Requirements

• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Germany.
• Experience with Kotlin/JVM and programming language agnostic understanding.
• Familiarity with API-based (HTTP, gRPC) and event-based communication (SNS/SQS, Kafka).
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in software engineering.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and AWS.
• Strong technical and non-technical stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in food delivery, ride-hailing, or gig economy companies.
• Experience integrating AI tooling and data science models into development processes.
