TL;DR

Support Analyst (Portfolio Management Systems): Provide technical support and implementation assistance for portfolio management systems used by hedge funds and asset managers with an accent on troubleshooting trading, trade lifecycle, P&L, and reporting issues. Focus on resolving complex technical challenges, client engagement, and process optimization to improve operational efficiency.

Location: Must be based in Hong Kong or Singapore

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on technical support and resolve complex issues related to trading, trade lifecycle, P&L, and reporting.
  • Execute technical issue triage and root cause analysis to improve operational efficiency.
  • Engage with clients, brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high-quality support.
  • Maintain system documentation and contribute feedback for product improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to test releases and share knowledge.
  • Utilize and configure support tools to optimize workflows and advocate for client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical or application support within financial services
  • Familiarity with portfolio management systems or trading platforms preferred
  • Understanding of financial industry products and operational controls
  • Proficiency in Python, scripting, and data analysis; cloud platform experience (AWS) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with client support platforms like Zendesk and Jira
  • Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trade lifecycle prioritization
