Location: Hybrid in Foster City, CA, with in-office presence required 3 days a week (M/W/F)

Salary: $187,574–$235,000 per year

What you will do

• Design a collaborative "Multiplayer Computer" for real-time human and AI agent cooperation on shared shells and filesystems.
• Build high-throughput backend applications and services.
• Create tooling to help AI systems minimize mistakes using static analysis and deterministic techniques.
• Develop frontend and backend infrastructure to empower rapid product engineering and deliver delightful user experiences.
• Support sophisticated user interfaces including terminals, code editors, and window-management systems.
• Bridge the gap between prompt engineers and frontend engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years experience in frontend development and 2 years in backend development.
• 2 years experience developing rich, complex browser-based applications or high-throughput backend services or frontend infrastructure used by 100+ engineers.
• 2 years experience with Typescript.
• Ability to successfully complete competency-based interviews.
• Must be able to work hybrid in Foster City, CA with in-office attendance 3 days per week.
