Junior Pricing Actuary (Data Science, AI): Developing and refining advanced pricing models for pet insurance with an accent on combining actuarial techniques and machine learning approaches. Focus on assessing price elasticity, churn, and customer segmentation, and optimizing portfolio performance.
Location: Hybrid in Lyon or Paris, France (2-3 days remote)

What you will do
- Develop advanced pricing models leveraging data science and AI techniques, considering business dynamics and market competitiveness.
- Contribute to the design and refinement of pricing and demand models, combining actuarial techniques and machine learning.
- Develop analytical models to assess price elasticity, churn, and customer segmentation.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support pricing adjustments based on customer behavior and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with business, tech teams, and insurer partners to ensure data-driven pricing decisions.
- Ensure proper model validation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 0 to 4 years of professional experience.
- Interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.
- Proficiency in R or Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Data Visualization Tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Fluent in French and English (B2 minimum).
Nice to have
- Previous experience in the insurance industry, ideally in P&C personal lines.
- Knowledge of actuarial pricing tools (Radar, Quantee, Akur8).
- Exposure to emerging AI technologies (LLMs, AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code).
