Customer Experience Scientist (Food Science)

What you will do

• Lead the New Product Blueprinting process, identifying unmet customer needs.
• Develop technical and application expertise across key customer environments.
• Partner with marketing, sales, R&D, and technical teams to define customer requirements.
• Design and execute application tests to replicate real customer usage and validate performance requirements.
• Lead validation trials under practical customer conditions to ensure new solutions meet requirements before market launch.
• Document experimental results and present findings internally and externally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Industrial & Institutional (I&I) cleaning industry.
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemistry and hygiene applications.
• Experience with direct customer engagement and field testing environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EPA sanitizer/disinfectant regulations, BPR, USDA sanitation standards, or hand hygiene regulations.
• Understanding of statistical methods, experimental design, and statistical software.
• Experience designing and validating test procedures and application protocols.
• Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles and tools.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.
