What you will do

• Shape and direct editorial content for single-story live streams.
• Support colleagues in the Streaming Control Centre.
• Produce and output a wide variety of live news coverage, including breaking news and planned major events.
• Help amplify hirify.global content to digital audiences across platforms like iPlayer, hirify.global News Channel, hirify.global News website, and YouTube.
• Work to embrace innovation and evolve a test-and-learn culture in digital news.

Requirements

• Excellent editorial judgement and knowledge of compliance procedures, Editorial Policy, and media law.
• Significant experience producing and output-editing live daily news programming.
• Understanding and experience with newsroom tooling, systems, and techniques for live video news output on digital platforms.
• Thorough understanding of analytics and how audiences consume video/audio on streaming platforms.
• Willingness to work in a data-led, multi-disciplinary, agile environment.
• Demonstrable experience as a team player, motivating colleagues, and delivering high-quality output.
• Capability to juggle competing demands and deal with a constantly changing news agenda.
• English: B2 required

Nice to have

• Experience as a producer making long-form programs and developing new on-demand formats.
• Proven ability to edit video.
