TL;DR

Financial Crime Assurance Analyst (Fintech): Operating the second line oversight framework and will be responsible for monitoring and testing our financial crime risk controls. Focus on managing regulatory/external/internal exams related to financial crime and remediation efforts.

Location: Hybrid in Leeds, UK. In-office days are determined by your team.

Salary: £34,400 - £51,600

What you will do

• Provide assurance of financial crime risk controls through regular testing, thematic reviews, and data analysis.
• Plan, prepare, and execute the annual Financial Crime Compliance Monitoring program.
• Draft reports that outline findings and corresponding action plans to mitigate issues found during reviews.
• Manage and oversee regulatory/external/internal exams related to financial crime.
• Log and track assurance, audit, and related risks and issues, escalating to stakeholders as needed.
• Deliver targeted financial crime training to the Compliance Operations and Sales teams.

Requirements

• Understanding of financial crime risks and controls, especially ML/TF/Sanctions risk, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, and screening.
• 1-4 years’ experience in an assurance-based role (e.g. audit, compliance monitoring, model validation).
• Organised with the ability to recommend practical remediations and track issues to closure.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills.
• Objective verbal and writing skills to write clear and concise assurance reports.
• Understanding of financial crime model calibration.
