TL;DR

Graduate Talent E-Core (Atom) CPU Circuit Design: Designs and develops custom digital circuits for a CPU, including memory and caches, optimizing custom circuit for CPU power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals. Focus on circuit design, schematic entry, and simulation for CPU blocks to resolve any performance and CPU design issues.

Location: Malaysia, Penang. This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned hirify.global site and off-site.

What you will do

• Designs, develops, and builds custom digital circuits for a CPU, including memory and caches.
• Designs floorplans, performs circuit design, schematic entry, simulation for CPU blocks, and verifies functionality.
• Creates block level DFT models, develops memory test tools, and improves and automates flows and methodologies to ensure streamlining of design.
• Collaborates cross functionally to report design progress and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and CPU design issues.
• Optimizes performance, power, and area, reduce leakage of CPU circuits, and drives characterization of individual memory instances and memory compilers.
• Works with CPU architecture and layout teams to design circuit for best functionality, robustness, and electrical capabilities.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas.
• Familiar with industrial EDA tools.
• Familiar with advanced CMOS technology and understanding of physical layout techniques.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Solid knowledge in circuit simulator is a plus.
