Senior Product Manager (Gaming)

TL;DR

Senior Product Manager (Gaming): Leading the account and social experience across all Minecraft games and endpoints with an accent on defining product vision, roadmap, and driving delivery. Focus on reducing friction, delighting players, and building trusted, scalable social and account experiences to facilitate seamless co-play.

Location: Onsite in Redmond, Washington, United States. This role is open to candidates authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (typical U.S. base pay range), with a higher range of USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year for San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Define the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for account and social experiences in Minecraft.
• Drive end-to-end delivery from concept through launch, collaborating with various Microsoft teams.
• Partner with engineering, design, and player safety to build trusted, scalable social and account experiences.
• Lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives to reduce friction and enhance player identity across the Minecraft ecosystem.
• Help players find friends, connect, communicate, and play together seamlessly across the Minecraft ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to prototype, iterate, and take proactive initiative to advance projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusiveness.
• Work authorization in the U.S. is required.

Nice to have

• 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
• 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
• 4+ years experience operating as a hands-on product manager, working closely with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to drive execution.
