TL;DR

Network Traffic Management Systems Engineer (Network Security): Developing and operating core network services for a critical customer (NatWest), with an accent on network security, platform efficiency, and customer satisfaction improvements. Focus on troubleshooting complex network security environments, deploying NTMS changes, and contributing to service design and planning.

Location: Home Working or UK Based. Occasional travel to Edinburgh or London.

What you will do

• Communicate and collaborate across multiple disciplines and stakeholders to ensure effective NTMS changes.
• Develop and operate systems and applications that provide core network services, participating in architecture and planning.
• Support network service design and troubleshooting, providing escalation support to the Network Operations team.
• Identify service and cost improvement opportunities to enhance platform operations efficiency.
• Contribute to Network Services’ budgetary submissions for lifecycle and risk management.

Requirements

• Experience operating within Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) and a flexible DevOps environment using industry standard tooling (such as Jira).
• Extensive experience working in a complex Network security environment with multiple vendors (Cisco, Checkpoint, F5).
• Ideally, a F5 Certified Technology Specialist with experience of LTM/ASM, GTM/DNS, and APM.
• Extensive experience with emerging tech cloud-based security elements.
• Proven incident and problem management experience, driving efficiencies in change and incident management.
• Excellent customer relationship management, people, collaboration and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the financial and banking sector.
• Exposure to ServiceNow.
