What you will do
- Lead teams of engineers to design, develop, and integrate software features, aligning with broader lab and platform goals.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to deliver product roadmap features and manage technical debt.
- Engineer reliable, scalable, performant, and secure solutions through adequate design and endorsed technologies.
- Adopt group tooling capabilities to improve development pace, quality, and safety through automation.
- Take hands-on ownership to unblock technical challenges and prove out new patterns for team use.
- Coach, develop, and mentor engineers to achieve their team, technical, and personal goals.
Requirements
- Practical experience in providing engineering team oversight and developing strategic solutions in complex system architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of leading modern engineering teams in an enterprise context, managing risk and security standards.
- A natural inquisitiveness for all facets of technology and how they can improve customer journeys.
- Ability to foster a culture of collaboration and ownership within teams, building high-performing cross-disciplinary teams.
- Capability to communicate complex messages and influence stakeholders using data and analytics.
- Deep understanding of DevOps tools and technologies including Kubernetes, GCP, Jenkins, Node, and Ansible.
