Automation Tester

TL;DR

Automation Test Engineer: Performing automation testing of web-based and mobile applications with an accent on maintaining test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. Focus on regression testing to ensure release quality and providing functional testing to ensure features are complete and function as expected.

Location: Onsite in Ashburn, Virginia. Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a DHS background check.

What you will do

• Perform automation testing of web based and mobile applications
• Work in Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress
• Ensure defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA)
• Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
• Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of requirements and the deployment environment
• Provide support during software installation or configuration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field with applicable experience is required; Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Must have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in Automation Testing
• Clearance: Must be able to pass a DHS background check, must be a US Citizen
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures and test scripts from requirements and use cases (API end-point testing)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript to be able to read and understand back-end web code

• Ability to show exceptional attention to detail and interact well with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
