Lighting Intern (Animation): Works on achieving visual targets for assigned shots and lighting tasks in feature animation with an accent on addressing lighting notes and troubleshooting creative and technical issues. Focus on managing individual shot loads, collaborating with other departments, and participating in new technology testing.
Location: Must be willing to work in Glendale, California. Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, increasing to four days from January 5, 2026.
Salary: Hourly Rate: $17.87

What you will do
- Work closely with CG Supervisor and Lead Lighter to achieve visual targets for assigned shots and lighting tasks.
- Take assigned shots to completion and address all lighting notes.
- Troubleshoot creative and technical issues as they arise.
- Organize and document any lighting tools, scripts, or processes as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments for timely integration of elements into assigned shots.
- Manage individual shot load based on the schedule to meet timelines.
Requirements
- Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree or being a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date).
- Passion for working as part of a lighting team in feature animation.
- Desire to learn all aspects of the lighting pipeline.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be willing to work in Glendale, California.
- Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- Some understanding of the lighting process, including rendering and compositing, as well as relevant tools and skills.
