What you will do

• Select and develop high-quality manuscripts for publication within the journal's editorial policy and standards.
• Advise authors on manuscript structure, titles, and abstracts to enhance accessibility for a broad sustainability readership.
• Ensure accepted manuscripts are complete and ready for the production process.
• Recommend papers for press consideration and assist in preparing draft press releases.
• Recruit, support, and engage a team of external editors, ensuring adherence to journal philosophy.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and visit research institutions to promote the journal's coverage.

Requirements

• PhD level research experience in environmental sciences, with strengths in analytical or computational methods applied to sustainability.
• Ability to assess the novelty, context, and implications of research from various disciplines.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for science and a desire to continuously learn about diverse scientific research.
