What you will do
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on on-prem cloud platforms, including multi-cluster and multi-environment deployments.
- Develop and manage Kubernetes resources (clusters, namespaces, deployments, services, ingress, CRDs) and implement platform capabilities (logging, monitoring, networking, security, backup).
- Collaborate with application teams to understand workloads, onboard to Kubernetes platforms, and define best practices for containerisation and operations.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate platform provisioning with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and develop Helm charts.
- Integrate Kubernetes with enterprise tooling and implement security controls including RBAC, network policies, image scanning, and secrets management.
- Contribute to platform reliability through SRE practices, support 24/7 operational readiness, and participate in incident resolution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments (VKS/TKG preferred).
- Solid understanding of container technologies, runtimes, Kubernetes networking, storage, and ingress controllers.
- Strong Linux OS experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Scripting experience (Python, Go).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related fields.
Nice to have
- Experience working with virtualised infrastructure and understanding of networking, load balancing, and storage in VMware environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid or private cloud architectures.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices and enterprise security requirements, including identity and access management.
