What you will do

• Lead Model Owners in writing and updating key documents to meet regulatory and internal Model Risk requirements.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Model Owners and facilitate governance meetings.
• Develop deep and constructive relationships with key stakeholders including Independent Validations, Data & Technology teams.
• Interpret SS1/23 and internal requirements, perform gap analyses, and build robust documentation.
• Help prepare governance papers, including data analysis, and facilitate approvals.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and technical SMEs to identify, develop, and implement new solutions.
• Maintain an effective control environment and offer technical leadership or support as needed.

Requirements

• Genuine enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity for Quantitative Methods.
• Solid understanding of Model Risk Management, particularly within a Treasury or Banking environment.
• Excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation.
• Commercial and strategic mentality with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Proven track record of collaboration and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Strong theoretical and applied knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, design patterns, core programming concepts and computer science fundamentals.
• Curiosity to improve processes and explore the potential of data technologies (e.g. Power BI, Python, SQL, GCP).
• Prior experience of working with complex data sets.
